The 3rd Annual Scare Me Silly event returns in support of Team Diabetes of Second Life! This event, is the first fundraising event for Team Diabetes of Second Life and features two hunts, live performers, dj’s, an art show, shopping, and lots of tricks and treats!

Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life. According to the World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.

The Red Hunt Applications Are Now Open!

The Red Hunt is returning this November and merchant applications are now open! The Red Hunt will take place November 1 to 30, 2018 and will feature red items. All items will be 10 lindens with 100% of the proceeds going to Team Diabetes of Second Life, an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association! We are pleased to announce the fourth season of Team Diabetes of Second Life! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The mission of Team Diabetes of Second Life is to raise awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in the virtual world of Second Life. According to the World Health Organization (2016): 422 million adults in the world have diabetes and 1.5 million deaths are directly attributed to diabetes each year.


The official Team Diabetes of Second Life’s season will take place from October 2018 to December 2018, with the following events scheduled to take place:

Off Season Event – October 19 to October 27 – Scare Me Silly Event & Autumn Art Show
November 1, 2018- Team Diabetes of Second Life’s Season Begins
November 1 to 30 – The Red Hunt
November 1 to 30 – National Diabetes Month
November 3, 2018- The Red Ball
November 14, 2018-World Diabetes Day
November 30 to December 9 – Winter Showcase & Winter Art Show
December 31, 2018 – Team Diabetes of Second Life’s Season Ends

In addition to the events mentioned above, individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to hold fundraising events in support of Team Diabetes of Second Life!  The official 2017 fundraising season toolkit will be available to the second life public on October 1, 2018, at the organization’s office in the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life.

Join Team Diabetes of Second Life for a month long of events in honor of National Diabetes Month! Team Diabetes of Second Life is an official and authorized team of The American Diabetes Association. The goal of National Diabetes Month is to bring awareness and attention to diabetes and to its impact on people around the world.

The following events will take place in honor of this special month:

  • November 1 to 30 – National Diabetes Month
  • November 1 to 30 – Healthy Facts Distributed via Our Groups and Website Daily
  • November 1 to 30 – The Red Fling (stores throughout Second Life each have 1 item that is red and with 100% of the proceeds going to Team Diabetes of Second Life)
  • November 1 to 30 – The Red Hunt (stores throughout Second Life have a hunt item located in their stores, each hunt item is 10 lindens and 100% of the proceeds goes to Team Diabetes of Second Life)
  • November 12 – The Red Ball & Art Exhibition (dance away in this special gallery that features art and live performers for 2 hours of fundraising for Team Diabetes of Second Life)

It's Back! The 3rd Annual Creepy Crawl

Scare Me Silly will be on the 3rd Annual Creepy Crawl List! What is the Creepy Craw List? It is the official Halloween Event for Linden labs, where the Lindens go around Second Life and spend about 30 minutes in a haunted, scary area. You will have the chance to win prizes and more!

The Creepy Crawl tour will hit Scare Me Silly on October 31, 2017 from 1130 am to 12pm slt! DJ Vee will be on hand spinning some scary tunes and we hope that you enjoy this stopover!
